Life has been quite interesting behind the scenes. There are a few things coming up, (including EP release) which I can’t discuss until August, but I will discuss this bit of news. A young British documentary filmmaker, Rhodri Davies, has selected one of my songs to be the soundtrack for his short documentary Cruel and Curious Sea II.
The film is about a unique art exhibit that was installed in a National Trust building off the coast of Cornwall. It will be part of this year’s promotion of the arts collective Hickory Nines latest art exhibition coming up in late September, which includes work from 32 UK artists in the Devon and Cornwall coastal areas.
I will be posting a link to view the film later, as I understand that it will be posted online in September. Meanwhile, I suggest you go and watch Rhodri’s conservancy documentary My Favourite Walk: The Speke's Mill Valley. It was Runner up at North Devon AONB Wild Shorts film competition in 2016.
On the subject of art and film, I was amused to hear that three of my mom’s paintings were hanging in the office where the last episode of the television series ‘Suits’ was filmed. And the star of the show, is of course, actor Megan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. I don't have a link to the last 'Suits' episode, but you can get a look at some of my mom's beautiful paintings on the website 'Artmajeur.'
